Played both games vanilla, but I cannot play them without mods now.

Skyrim and Fallout. It's not even that I didn't enjoy the vanilla version of these games, it's just that once you play a good modlist for them, it becomes basically impossible enjoy vanilla.

Escape from tarkov.
First time trying sptmod for it. Its a godsend, the customization with mods and actual amazing quality of life mods are so great. Shows how poor the optimizations in framerate, qol and technical things are from the original devs.

It becomes actual fun instead of a constant grind just to die to something questionably random or dumb.

Mount and blade warband. Love the orignal but after playing modded for a bit it feels empty.

Skyrim is definitely up there , as well as most other Bethesda games, navigating those inventories is aweful

The Sims and Fallout New Vegas are the only games I have modded and are the only games I cannot play vanilla anymore.

Minecraft absolutely fits this category. I CAN play vanilla, but it doesn't take very long for me to get bored of it. Mods give Minecraft life, without mods its kinda mediocre nowadays. Beta is still fun vanilla though I guess.

Yu-Gi-Oh! - Forbidden Memories. I used to cheat using GameShark because the game also cheats, but I use the 15-card drop mod now, because it has so many QoL changes it borders the perfect game.

Minecraft, Plain vanilla is fine with friends but playing singleplayer a modpack or two would be great for playtime like GTNH would take months.

Skyrim and Fallout 4 I don't think I could touch unmodded after playing modded, though I use modpacks through Wabbajack to save myself from the pain of manually adding and tweaking hundreds or thousands of mods.

Minecraft is up there as well. I find vanilla to be a bit shallow, and all the recent updates have just widened the pool instead of making it deeper. I end up making some neat builds, then spend the rest of the time making mob farms for different resources to then gear up and kill the ender dragon (which can be done with iron gear anyways). I really enjoy adding mods like Thaumcraft or Ars Magica to give me something else to progress towards.

Terraria has nearly reached that point as well; I've just played vanilla to much. Playing Calamity Inferum with Wrath of the Gods along with other mods to speed up base and boss arena building (basically turning the game into a pure boss rush) was insanely fun, though now that development for Calamity is frozen I'm not sure if there are any alternatives with a similar amount of content out there

The Sims 4 without the Mods the game is not fun at all. My Family Tree Doesnt have many Branches
Ark Survival Evolved/Ascended the base vanilla game is ok but once I got use to the some of the Mods I cant play normal mode at all.

Used to play this game all the time as a kid, definitely gonna have to check out the mod scene for it.

Otherwise I mod Skyrim, Mount and Blade and Total War games. Used to have to mod games all the time for random bug fixes, but haven't done much in a quite a while...

I cannot play raw schedule 1. I could play avn without mods all day, even if they use tenant/caregiver. But raw s1 is like torture for no benefits. Also, 18+ mods on l4d2. When playing with friends, I will play ghost face but solo is funner when Francis is actually a big titty anime girl

I forgot about ark! That shit is horrific without mods. I played it raw for years and never beat the island. Used mods and beat Island in a month.
