For me, its just dependent on if the story has become stale form trying to stretch things out way too much when it should really just hit its finale
really it depends on the game i think. some games i'll wait for it to be complete and some games i'll just play whenever something new comes outIn many games that really caught my attention and I say they're not finished, I usually wait for them to finish them even if it takes a long time because I don't like to be left halfway, and also not remembering where you left off in the game makes me feel like you get lost in the story.

Agree. But the problem is a lot of the games which is good will most likely be abandoned halfway or never complete it's development for decade (not exaggerating). Example Summertime Saga they're doing rework now instead of continuing the story( I think this game has been in development for more than 5 years correct me if i'm wrong). So for games like these I recommend you might as well play it nowIn many games that really caught my attention and I say they're not finished, I usually wait for them to finish them even if it takes a long time because I don't like to be left halfway, and also not remembering where you left off in the game makes me feel like you get lost in the story.
