Would you rather the creator finish creating the game that caught your eye?

In many games that really caught my attention and I say they're not finished, I usually wait for them to finish them even if it takes a long time because I don't like to be left halfway, and also not remembering where you left off in the game makes me feel like you get lost in the story.

What do you think?

The problem is that a lot of games simply won't be finished, and I've been disappointed many, many times. So if there is one that looks good I will play it now.

I am not into endings, so I actually prefer it if a good game is unfinished. It means there will be more content. Of course what is even better is an on-going series, or a finished game that gets a sequel.

I can play and enjoy a game if it already has a good amount of content. Because many of them get abandoned often and just disappears "like tears in the rain" hah
i hate this, really, i have many story that i hooked into but never saw the ending cos it's abandoned.

It's incredibly frustrating to become enamored with a story only to find out it's been abandoned. Due to this common theme, I am that much more appreciative when a dev follows through to completion. Can't cry over spilled milk; I just lap up whatever I can.

It would be incredible if some of the games I liked the most hadn't been abandoned. Unfortunately, either they are left aside in the middle of the project, or the creator incessantly exploits supporters and this is extremely frustrating.

I'd love to play more fully finished games, but I also have no problem waiting for the next installment of an ongoing one (though sometimes the waits get unreasonable...)

Which is a good skill to have since, well, a whole lot of games never get finished.

i would defintely liked to see games i loved completed. everytime one get abandoned it like hitting a brick wall

I used to care about the whole abandoning thing more before, now as long as the story isn't all that great or its one of my favorite games, I just take it as expected and forget about the game.
TBH, a lot of these games have really subpar or bad stories, if I beat my rocks to it it did its job

I wish the ones I had started were finished, I hate not knowing why they stopped.

If I would wait for games to get finished and only play those, I would play one game a year. At which point I think I wouldn't even bother playing them at all.

Well, it does bother you that you have to wait to continue learning the story, but I think that is its essence.

One of the main reasons I prefer shorter games is the chances the longer ones never get finished. I totally understand why Devs drag out games adding new characters long after the MC has completed their main goals, but it's really annoying when they do, like, just end it already and start a new story.

Something I've seen some of the better Devs do that I think is both smart and I'm grateful for, is splitting the game into multiple parts, not only do we get a "completed" story out of each part, we also don't have to keep DL'ng a game that's getting larger with each update (or keep up to date with individual updates).

Of course I wish the devs finished their games. What kind of question is that?

And I think it's also like writing a TV show. A lot of shows will start really good because the writers had a clear idea of the "first" season. But they haven't thought about the whole of the story they wanted to write and as the show drags on, the story starts to suffer, cuz they don't know where to go with it. And that's where the shows get abandoned and/or cancelled and/or rushed.
