1. Changing the whole overview of some games, and not all games, cause some of them the dev really needed to rebuild it, cause priv versions were sh*t.
2. Waiting so long for the update, and when it finally comes out, the whole thing just does not make sense anymore.
3. Some games really does have frequent updates, but the story when you look at it as is unfolds, it just has no clear meaning, the writer just keeps beating around the bush with no tangible clue or purpose.

For me It's the following
1. Any game that invalidates the time and effort a player invests into it. This could be done through the ending, major mechanic removal, character assassination.
(This is the one that really pisses me off)
2. Bad End only games. Now I don't always expect a big happy ending (I personally favor bittersweet endings the most) but games that leave you without choice, hope, and the chance of something better at all. Do leave me feeling a bit empty and defeated.
3. When a developer introduces a cast of Li's and decides that you will only end up with the one the developer likes best despite making it seem like you have a choice.

Honestly since it's their game i wouldn't blame them. But the one thing i can't stand, and has made me drop games, is when the game has real, artist made illustrations and models, and they chose to use fucking AI to change the models. No shame in using AI but if you already had an art style, and it was good, then using AI kind of defeats that purpose and is an insult to real artists. Such a low blow and it has made me drop games.

One of my favorite games was Lust and Power - it had an interesting world, actual game mechanics rather than just sandbox/VN type stuff, and had great corruption/domination themes. Then at some point the dev said "actually, I'm gonna rebuild the whole game from scratch" and rolled the whole game back to virtually no content, 3 years later it's not where it originally was.

Haven't touched in in years, still annoyed about it.

Same thing happen to Summertime Saga.. Instead of churning out new content continuing the plot, the dev change to doing reworks for years and likely will take many more years with the current pace..

Remove existing content, randomly decide to remake their entire game, or pad out 'updates' with very little content for how long it took and how much money was invested
