For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

I’ve learned from past experience to let a game I’m interested in develop a bit before trying it out. But that’s just my 2 cents.

If it looks interesting I will try it, but if i see a "no sex" or something similar I will avoid until further notice.

If is a big project I would prefer to see it completed to avoid the edgin. 🤓

I start at 0.4 or .5, there's gotta be at least a couple of sex scenes already for me to care. I absolutely hate slow burn games.

Generally I go in on first release, then skip, follow or ignore based on the next 2 releases.

It depends on the game, the tags, the renders, the description. If it triggers me, I'll try it immediately.

Since there is no version rating committee, the numbers don't matter. Some people have version 0.01 has content for 1-2 hours, and others have 1.5 menus for 5 minutes in version 1.0. That's why I download the "first release" version with caution, and then I look at the changelog

Depends on how I feel at the time sometimes, I play the next version others I sometimes wait 2/3 depending on how often they release.

Other times I will download and usually use UnRen to extract the images if there is nothing in the images folder and have a look on what happens to tide me over while I wait to play the next version say if I skip 2 updates.

I'm new to the VN scene so have been playing/reading almost everything, however I'm getting frustrated with soooooo many games not having a conclusion.
Once I'm invested I want to know how the game ends.
That's why I'm already shifting to games that are complete OR only playing games that the dev has a history of completing their games.

I'll usually just try them if they look interesting, regardless of the age/update count.

i wait until like 0.5 or the like, Lets me know the Dev is likely to keep going.

Usually at least until there's a decent amount of content, unless it's something really well made and praised. Most of these games don't ever get finished so there's really no reason to wait for their completion as that might never happen.

I thought I'd start a discussion on a topic I am genuinely interested in - rather than the topics that are being started simply to score engagement/points/coins/credits/wishes/etc. I really would like to know peoples opinion on this!
When a game is added... Are you someone who will play anything and everything? Or do you wait for a certain level of finish? Do you only play Complete games? Or what?
For me... when I first found these games, I would play everything - regardless of when it released or how often it was updated - now though, I find myself only really playing Completed games unless something really catches my eye. I've realised the sheer number of games, even playing Completed games takes awhile.

That said, there's a few games I picked up at the start which I eagerly watch updates for... But then I try and wait, so I can pick them up with a large update of content.
i will play anything to find games that I like and that see timely updates

Depends on the rating. I could jump on the first demo or jump in near the end depending on hype, reviews and popularity

It all depends on the dev, I will download the first version of games if the dev has a good track record of a decent amount of content. As for the other dev's I may wait up to a year from the initial release or wait until it is completed.

I mostly try the new released if it is good I try to wait for about 3 or more updates or a minimum of 1k renders

If it's incest, non-sandbox, and the preview images are hot, I'll start at .00000000001.
