Other than to get a completion, or to be content with having seen any, and all scenes that might check off a box on my list. I can't say for certain that there are any VN mechanics I won't play through at least once, per title.

That said; I do tend to stay weary of sandbox.
More often than not, I'm grinding in an endless endeavor for little to no reward.

NTR usually, even if I let myself play through some labeled "good games".
Sandbox is very close to no-go these days, I feel like some devs want to torture us more than appreciate their creations.

Gore and rape. For me, those two are instantly ones I tend to ignore, where the only time I'll play a game with rape is if it's a heavily story driven game where rape was apart of the story, but mc wasn't the one who did/experienced it. Gore is just a no go for me, where if it's anything beyond some blood or being shot, I cannot handle that.

I hate and avoid gays, futa, lesbians (if only you can disable it in the settings) transgender, femboy, in general, everything related to LGBT+ goes to hell,. brutal violence, where there is a lot of blood with guts and severed limbs ( I go to play a game about making love "sex" and not war and dismemberment) mental hospitals and so on.

It's not exactly a tag but GOR "game over rape" takes me out of the experience. It dosen't move the narative at all.
