Just curious what other people prefer.

Personally, I tend to prefer games that use Daz in their renders. I tend to stay away from game that use HS and HS2.

Nothing wrong with HS/HS2 but I've been making scenes with them for years now so I've kinda gotten bored with their look. And as I have put hundreds of hours in to their studios, I pretty much prefer my own style over how others make things look. I might have passed on some great stories because of that but I just have to live with it. KK I also skip as I'm not a fan of that kind of anime style.

Definitely hand drawn, but it's so rare and takes so much work. So usually DAZ

DAZ Studio, as a rendering software, offers a powerful platform for creating stunning 3D images and animations. Its extensive library of pre-made models, textures, and environments provides users with a wealth of resources to bring their artistic visions to life. The flexibility of DAZ Studio allows for intricate customization, from adjusting lighting and camera angles to fine-tuning materials and textures, enabling artists to achieve highly realistic results.

One of the standout features of DAZ Studio is its user-friendly interface, which caters to both beginners and experienced artists alike. The intuitive controls make it easy to navigate the software and experiment with different rendering techniques. Additionally, DAZ Studio supports a wide range of rendering engines, including NVIDIA Iray and 3Delight, giving users the freedom to choose the rendering solution that best suits their needs.

Furthermore, DAZ Studio's integration with the DAZ 3D marketplace offers a vast selection of additional content, including characters, props, and plugins, allowing users to expand their creative possibilities even further. Whether you're creating characters for a video game, designing concept art for a film, or producing promotional material for a product, DAZ Studio provides the tools and resources necessary to achieve professional-quality results.

Overall, DAZ Studio stands as a robust and versatile rendering solution that empowers artists to unleash their creativity and produce stunning 3D imagery. Its combination of user-friendly interface, extensive content library, and rendering capabilities make it a valuable asset for anyone working in the field of 3D design and animation.

Daz has severe limitations that most developers won't bother to work around, most dev are too bad at drawing to do 2d.
I prefer 2d.

I love it when they are handrawn, mmuch more detail

Hand drawn is best, but probably also the most demanding, limiting the output...

The uniqueness of handdrawn cant be beat, but as others have said handdrawn content takes a long to time to create

Hand drawn can be amazing with the right artist. But Daz is probably my favourite of the more commonly used methods.

On average DAZ. Since its the most used it has the most high quality games. A good result can be achieved with all of them tho

I been working on small personal project and looked at many aspect of VN creating. For me I use VAm and port to Unity. Then to VN creation I think through unity to RenPay but I am newb so I'm still in tutorial stage with non vam programs. definitely vam and Unity so far. I will need learn Blender for scene creating, so I am learning/use few different program to work/port with the VN

Do you work for Daz? That sounds like it's straight from marketing 🤣

The result of hand drawing is a visual orgasm and a satisfying experience, but it is time consuming and inefficient. On the other hand, Daz is much easier and more versatile for rendering scenes.

DAZ is the bee's knees; provided devs are creative with it

Daz and hand draw all the way. Don't like anything else.

Daz is usually the best when it comes to visual beauty. Honey Select 2 can be really nice if done correctly, Eternum is an example of that.

I don't know what they use but whatever is used for Once in a Lifetime.

I've never been all that fussy over a games graphics. Sure pretty picture and videos are nice but I'm more concerned with the writing and gameplay. That being said Daz sure makes some hot pics.
