Most of the time I use my own first name as for me it helps me step into the shoes of the mc so to speak the only time I don't is if I've decided to try a Netorare game then i use a random male name though I don't play to many of those as not to keen on Netorare games only play a couple

Using my real name in any game always weirds me out so never that.

I use Max.

Reason:
Games usually say "Enter a name with a max of X characters"

So I just used Max and it stuck for every game.

I realized that in games where you can choose your MC's name, I always use the same name, but it's *not* my name. I almost always call my character "Doug" for some reason and if I have to pick a last name I use "Douglas" so I guess in my mind there's this dude out there named Doug Douglas just laying pipe fucking EVERYWHERE.

What do you do?

Its lame. Mine not Doug. Doug is a fine name. I go with Master but not really in a kink way, more of a power fantasy alter ego thing like the "bad" guy in doctor who.

I've gotten used to using a version of my own name, Jake. But it doesn't bother me to use whatever name is given

Depends on what I'm feeling. Most of the time I'll use my own name for the MC, but sometimes I'll choose the name I was almost called at birth, just for funsies. Very rarely will I go with the default name for the MC.
