Choices that actually affect the story. This is really hard to do for a developer because it requires following different branches with different dialogues and renders, but it really makes a game hit home.

I have seen a lot of differing opinions on game threads as well as the games themselves showing what the dev thinks is most important. So I wanted to know specifically what you think is most important. For me I think its pacing. A game can have a mediocre story and sex scenes, but if the pacing is off and the characters are just instantly horny for the mc it just puts me off. Doesn't feel realistic at all and it doesn't leave much point for a game imo. And seeing a character slowly become more corrupt/lewd is always a plus.

i don't mind a build up as long as it doesn't take forever

I like it when they make you earn the lewd scenes. Not so much that I get bored, but just enough to feel good when it happens. Another thing that I think is essential is a well animated sex scene and well made character models.

It depends on my mood and what I'm looking for, sometimes I like games that are just a hair trigger away from the characters getting into a sexual situation (Thank you Dumb Koala), but other times I like a good bit of story behind it, I'm not ALWAYS looking to fap, just a good percentage of the time.

That's a good criterion, but don't forget about vaginal sex when you go for version 0.4 because there are games that don't incorporate it yet, but hey, it's up to each person's taste.
