discussion What aspect of adult games do you care most about?

I have seen a lot of differing opinions on game threads as well as the games themselves showing what the dev thinks is most important. So I wanted to know specifically what you think is most important. For me I think its pacing. A game can have a mediocre story and sex scenes, but if the pacing is off and the characters are just instantly horny for the mc it just puts me off. Doesn't feel realistic at all and it doesn't leave much point for a game imo. And seeing a character slowly become more corrupt/lewd is always a plus.

Honestly what you're saying is true, I gotta say the most important part is dialogue, it needs to be at least somewhat genuine or like real, not like it is exactly like a real conversation, but not just static and straight to the point

I agree about the pacing, but the plot is also very important. A weak plot is unable to hold attention and the game or VN/KN is automatically deleted. As an example of a KN with a very weak plot I will name 23 sisters. Characters should be deep enough, playing as two-dimensional characters is just not interesting.

very true, altho i cant list examples some games have such good h scenes that the weak plot is able to be overlooked, but this is extremely rare i have found

fine I'll be serious for a sec, there's only 3 things you need for good media, a good story, good characters and the last matters on what type of media it is and with this being visual good sex

but in all seriousness the 1 thing I do care about is "is it funny?" yes I do want it to look good too but if they can make me laugh then I don't care if it's two stick mashing into each other

what do you mean by good media? and I have to agree, some of the best games I have played have made me audibly laugh

well media as in movies, shows, books, music, art and yes PORN, for good music its sound with the others being slightly changed for wording to good lyrics(story) and band/singer(characters)

so parodies? and I dont have sound on bc i generally listen to my own music, its not common for voice acting so i am used to no sound so i never really thought about that aspect.

The story has to be somewhat interesting but not too silly for me. Even if you have amazing animations and the highest quality art if your story goes completely off the rails in the first few minutes of a VN I'm dropping it immediately. I don't like being dropped into an insane world I want to be the reason the world goes insane.

I meant I play music from my own playlist, not related to the game just explaining why I dont have sounds on for game I play

A good overall balance. No matter how good all other aspects might be, if one fails everything crumbles. Other than that, void dialog and narration that goes on and on is probably the worst thing I commonly come across, so I really really appreciate when they don't do that, and instead every scene and every line of text is a step forward.

The only parts that matter to me are the dialogues and the scenes (i.e. the graphics and ESPECIALLY the fetishes present in the game), the story is only there to justify the presence of the sex scenes.

The language. It doesn't have to be perfect, but if i can barely read it i'm likely to turn it off. After that it's the animations and/or images. If it's just images you better be a good story teller. I find that story wise it's almost always formulaic so I don't put a lot of stock in it, but sometimes a good story comes along.

Story, scene quality and pacing. I don't want it to take forever. I don't want it to be nothing but scenes either. I like when it's non-stop scenes - but after you've earned it with the work you've done for other characters.

I always skip "updates" without story progress and except for needed grind i mostly dont choose sex scenes, especially repeatables are mostly bound to my STRG key ^^
