You can just use a gallery unlocker in some games. As for a built in fully unlocked gallery, absolutely terrible idea if it's by default. An option to unlock everything for those who want it is a better option

For me it is an unlocked gallery to see the scenes from other routes that I could not see, for example the love route and the corruption route.

If there is a mod that unlocks the gallery, I always install it. Best way to check content in ongoing games before investing time.

Depends on the project. Some are worth playing through to earn those galleries, and others aren't worth the time and effort. So, I guess I'm middle of the road on this one. I do like the blurred galleries with path hints, though.

If the game is easy enough to play though to get all the scenes then a gallery unlock isn't needed, but if the game is difficult or grindy and scenes can be missed then gallery unlocked is the best option.

I prefer to earn it, but when there are lot of branches and you need to do all over again from the start, that tend to be annoying.

I prefer to earn it, but for a button or something to unlock after you've played through the whole game, which unlocks the scenes that you haven't been able to unlock. Can't be bothered to replay the same game for a few scenes, which weren't my first choice of playing.

When a game is in development I extract the images a lot of the times if im unsure the content I am looking for is their yet or not. Just so I don't waste my time by getting blueballed

Don't use it, but should work from the start. Isn't it kind of meant to see stuff you weren't able to get? Keeping it locked is like those games that you have to beat before you can use cheats. It's like, if I could beat the game, I wouldn't need cheats.
