discussion Thoughts on some Grinding/effort in games?

Grinding is okay as long as it not excessive. Especially in h games. Like. Im fine getting stats up or whatever, but if it takes me several real life days to grind the things that I need in order to get any new content? No thank you.

If there’s grind in a porn game, i’ll just cheat to get resources. In a regular game, i don’t mind it as much.

It heavily depends on what and its purpose. Sometimes things are grindy because they are intended to just be milestones or just things you work for while doing other things. Those are the better ones in my opinion, as opposed to ones where you have to narrowly focus on a single task with no good second option. Unless it's fun.

Grinding is a hit or miss to me, If it's with fun minigames or scenes during the grinding then i don't mind as much but a repetitive slog fest is always just gonna make me wanna cheat and get it over with.

If the grind is fun, I don't think about it. If I start to think of it as a grind, then I try to find ways to cut corners.

its just how well the gameplay loop is. if its good, fun and interesting, grinding could be fun. but the payout should be equally good too. otherwise its just not worth the effort

so true, porn games and fun game loops are like water and oil. haven't played any which had good grind

There are some games where I enjoy it, even on porn games. Specifically Evenicle, Take Me to the Dungeon, and a few others. Something about the gameplay I just find satisfying.

A good reward for a little grinding is fine, but if I have to spend half the game grinding to progress, I'd rather get a job.
