Yeah, I guess it's been a while since I played it and was only going off of memory. I seem to remember the MC having choices of whether to side with the step-dad or not and it seemed like the story had a lot of potential with more interactions in that vein, or even more voyeur drama from the step-dad catching the MC. So you're right it wasn't abandoned, my bad. It just felt like it ended too early without exploring some of the doors it opened up. And yeah also because the concept was abandoned in this rendition.

I think they mean how you never actually get to do much of anything with the spy cameras or lewd recordings. They're a plot point, but that's about it.

Fair point for sure, I guess I either didn't go that route or wasn't expecting much from them, the MC was performing for the cameras most of the time not using them to spy, lol.

That is true, there was tons of potential, but it is hard to keep up when it comes to branching story lines. What did it say at the beginning of this game, he considers the 9th ending cannon? That is a lot of endings to have a satisfactory narrative for. It would be one thing if it was like, "you fucked up, game over" for half the endings (which would decrease the work that needs to be done, but feel really shitty for anyone actively pursuing that path), but iirc that is not what happened. Anyways, yes it is sad that we lost out on some good darker storytelling, but ultimately I think it is better to whole ass one thing than half ass two things.

To add to my whole ass comment, man this game is fantastic so far. I have always enjoyed these games when they are full of humor, and boy does this deliver. The story has been very good so far, and I cannot wait for more.

Spoiler: I have one note though:

I feel like Arden's agreement to be a girlfriend came just a little too quickly. It seemed to me like her relationship with her father would sour her towards getting intimate so immediately with another guy. She wasn't explicitly abused, but I would think she would be more hesitant because of her situation. I understand that this game does throw some logic out the window when it comes to that kind of stuff so at the end of the day I get it, but it just felt kind of forced to me.

It's been a while since I've played this game but I remember feeling frustrated about this. The game just kind of ends and it's all swept aside. I'm enjoying this new version way more than I did the original.

Just got through playing this and I have to say, it's quite hot. For me personally, I'm not a fan of the vice principal, but that just a personal preference. It'll be interesting to see what sort of direction the overall story takes. Right now I don't see much of an actual story, just sex and "hey, you need to be part of this harem". Nothing wrong with that but I do enjoy a story as well. So I'm anxious to see where things go. Keep it up!

the original game was finished, the sequal with a new character was abandoned and the remake was also cancelled.
