Games should come with an entire collection of music that the game swaps through depending on the situation, not a couple tracks that are played on loop constantly.

No sound please. First thing I do after opening a game is muting the music.

Mainly yes, but it depends also on the music. I usually prefer the ones with a more variated soundtrack than just the basic and general background music of a game, and a bit diverse too, playing hours with the same music feels so tiring and boring, I even turned out the music on some games to just hear spotify instead

Yes, the game needs music, then you still have the option to turn it off and play your own or be silent, but most times if the music is decent and well placed i listen to it and it can be a mood setter. Summers Gone comes to mind for example, uplifting!

I usually play with the sound muted so music would just add space. Though some of the better games it does work out nice, so probably depends on the quality of the production.

i dont really care but it it has good music which changes according to situation them why not. but if it's just playlist playing in background its better to not have any music

I don't really care as long as there's an option to turn it off. If the music fits the vibe then it's great, if not I'll just mute it. Also, it's the dev's game — if they wanna put in music they like, that's their freedom.

Music yes, if it's selected and fits to the scene. If it's just a random collection playing in the background, then no...

No music. The music is either annoying looped or just terribly mixed where it's just loud and jarring.

I get stunned IRL when i hear a royalty-free music track in a youtube video that I've heard before in a game

Music in games is often good, but the moment I hear singing I mute it completely. It's too distracting and defeats the purpose of BG music.

Yes i like music in the games. One example "Being a Dik" i dont know what would i do without the music. It fits very well and later in the game you can make your own playlist.
I know music doesnt fell very well in some games. Maybe a scene where it is serious and sad you cant put a rock or lofi song. Completely without sound its not my favorite games.

It really depends on the scene / theme of the game. When it fits with the scene, even royalty-free music can sound so good.
Not for horror games tho, it's a whole different things with those games.
A good music can really make the game more scarier than it is, but weirdly having no music can also make the game more scarier as well...
