Thank you for the instructions! This instantly worked like a charm! As you mentioned, I did need to choose 'Run as administrator' when I started Notepad (otherwise it wouldn't let me save/overwrite the hosts file). I just added the two lines:
104.21.77.239 roriwalrus.com
104.21.77.239
Still doesn't work

wasn't working for me until i removed the 2 hashtags like this

I saw this on roriwalrus, you can run a command instead to open Chrome with roriwalrus fixed

Press Win + R and paste this into the box that pops up
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --host-resolver-rules="MAP www.roriwalrus.com 188.114.96.3
and then press Enter. I don't know whether or not other browsers have a similar option
I tried this. It just opened a new window tab of Chrome. Didn't do anything or take me to the site.

You have to remove the "#" symbol, otherwise it is just a comment and not being 'read' properly.

Just do it like this:

Rori is struggling a bit with all the influx of new registrations from ATF, if you can't/don't want to change DNS then just wait a few days (obviously), they will fix it.

Yes, that command just opens Chrome with roriwalrus fixed. If you want to open the site as well then here
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" www.roriwalrus.com --host-resolver-rules="MAP www.roriwalrus.com 188.114.96.3"

Site is still down

it worked! Thanks for the assistance!

... it's gonna be gone forever isn't it.

Speaking of the method you guys are using to access it, is anyone like... actually using it? Post, communicate and all?

I used it and it works for me. Their forum is working right now.

I think normal busy hours before the dns issues was 800-1000 members online, so yes it is being used. Seems also like the place where AtF users will migrate to when AtF shuts down.

the host fix worked for me, there is still about 100+ members online average atm

DNS shenanigans, but i'm not going to mess with the workaround. They'll figure it out eventually

Same, still hoping it gets back to normal sooner than later.

Yeah same here, my activities there rely on gathering and communicating with people so it's kinda pointless if it's still in its limited access state where my guys probably aren't on.

I previously posted about how the DNS 'fix' worked for me (which it did)... but that only lasted a few days and as of now I cannot access the site with fix nor without fix.

This is unfortunate, does anyone have a solution to this new error?

The IP address workarounds are no longer functional. No further info available yet. Allegedly, the intent is still to rescue the site.

Hope this is not the end, site was just starting to become the New ATF home...
