I feel like the corruption has more content to enjoy and vanilla is already well vanilaa in itself

Corruption is the way to go in games since there is no harm involved. Romance, I can have that in real live if I want to.

from a meta perspective romance is generally poorly written in this form of media so i lean towards corruption

Depends on the game. If it's Romance vs corruption I pick Romance but I do like a game that has only corruption as a route also.

The corruption route is the most exciting, but most devs get a little to heavy handed for my taste and it gets boring. If a woman is already enthusiastic and submissive then I don't see anything wrong with rewarding good behavior. I guess I prefer variance.

I always go for the romancing option as my main path. I know, I am basic. But I do take corruption paths to branch out, and it is usally quite interesting. But just often not my cup of tea.

I don't really get the evil paths. That's not wish fulfillment for me, which is the main reason to play these games. Sometimes I do play an evil path later to see what happens. Maybe there is substantially different content.

As long as it is not getting violent I lean heavily towards corruption. Using some manipulation to get those pure females onto the path of new sexual experiences is fine for me in games and fantasy in general.

Romance can be good at times but it can sometimes remind me of my crippling loneliness and things get too real when the characters have such good chemistry and I am reminded that I am sitting in a dark room beating my dick to a game. So I don't usually go for strict romance anymore...

Here where I play it. If the game comes in two types of options, that is, route a: corruption and route b: romance, then I always go in corruption because I like submissive women and in case the game only has romance or close romance, then I have to play romance.
It's a difficult decision for me whether to choose romance or corruption.

I do also feel most VNs that give an option for corruption, ends up spending more effort and makes that route more interesting than the romance route.
