Thing is, I don't consider news article very informative or trust worthy nowadays, but you need to ask for special permission for the australia court system to get the details about what went on in there. It's, while unlikely, possible that the "pictures" and the "stalking" were boogus, or not, and the fact that he was making PF was just a coincidence to the real crimes, but we won't know.

Yeah fake news is a thing these days, esp when one pleads guilty just to get it over with so is less likely to sue for libel (or whatever it's called in Australia). Besides that one can still appreciate art regardless of the character of the artist. Charles Manson's music wasn't actually that bad when you ignore the fact he was a cult leader that lost his mind and ordered them to kill for him. In PF's instance I'd still like to see it finished even if Westy was a convicted serial rapist with DNA proof and it turned out PF was not fictional at all but based on his real life exploits and the one finishing it was a convicted murderer that was released on a technicality, if their work was an almost seamless transition (impossible in practice, but one can get reasonably close with a lot of time effort and skill). But like has been said already world peace under a global AI overlord will probably happen first.

Hopefully now that the legal crap is now done and over some other dev that doesn't give a fuck will take up that challenge. Hell I've seen "devs" (quotes due to no plans to actually continue it) take abandoned AVNs like AOA Academy from other defunct/inactive/former devs and put it on Steam for a quick buck from the morons that pay for unfinished vanilla porn, though this one isn't eligible for that. Even though Seath is best set up for it he has too many of his own AVNs to deal with (at this point his argument it wouldn't help Westy is moot, those horses done left the barn last year). Then again, while the AVN itself is good it's getting dated (ongoing Gen3 joke from Seath highlights that) and there's better ones out now like SSP anyway.

I would if I knew how to do it justice, as to me there's no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to porn production and the advertizing has already been done via Steisand Effect but I have learned why there's a Daz store that most people use rather than make their own assets (not at all easy). Other than that I didn't personally know Westy so had no idea where he planned to take the story, other than 15 chapters in total planned (so 90% done).

/shrug sometimes art imitates life. Normal people tend to make boring AVNs, so be careful what you wish for. The way I see it don't get caught doing something you're not supposed to be then you won't be a criminal. You'd be surprised what's in the average person's head that either doesn't act out their thoughts or simply doesn't get caught while doing so. Though I imagine most simply turn their thoughts into an AVN.

Im not really defending westy, I have no dogs in this race, but what charges did he plead guilty? As far as I know he just plead guilty, but I never found out what exactly did he plead guilty to and what the proof of the crimes was, that's my point. We don't have enough information about the case, just the accusation and the resolution, lots of context related topics are not very clear, not that I hope it would clear his name but I just don't like to not get the full picture of the charges and the proof against him.

And even then evidence of that can be easily planted in a case were the target is eager to plead guilty and rush to an ending, so personally I wouldn't make rushed judgements based on paperwork alone (or even if actually happened not my kids so not my problem or business what one is fapping to the way I see it). Esp in a case where millions of $ of taxpayer money is spent on an investigation and pigs feel pressured to get more results than just jailing some artist that likes to make imaginary 3D lolis or games.
