Westy is doing fine these days tho. He's super busy with normie stuff. He's happy it seems, but haven't actually sat down to talk with him about this stuff, because I think he wants to distance himself from it.

If Sural Argonus' post is true (taken from the Apocalypse thread) then Westy would have to be the biggest idiot in the world to have anything to do with this game or anything adjacent to it...at least until he leaves Australia for a country that has no extradition treaty with it, assuming he has travel privileges. If he miraculously avoided decades of imprisonment and being a human toilet as a "rock spider", he is going to keep his nose as clean as possible, because he is not going to fall off the radar of the police for quite some time.

It is also confirmed that he had images of real children. Now can the mods finally give this the abandoned tag? He is in prison and seath already said that he is not finishing the game.

Not only that but he also had some very horrifying content that I am not going to name, but its p much confirmed westy is a giant piece of shit and deserves the human toilet treatment

With games, TV shows, movie franchise, there are people who go around IMDB or sites like this trying their best to say:
-This game is abandoned.
-The movie franchise is dead.
-This is the last season of the TV show.

You haven't done this, but why do so many people lose their shit when I say stuff like "I can't wait for Firefly season 2."?

Tone doesn't translate well on the internet. I'm not trying to poke the bear. I just want to understand why it (in this case, the abandoned tag) matters to you and many others.

I don't really go to sites like IMDB do I don't know the reasons why people say something like that on those sites. But when it comes to games like this, it's kind of important to know if the game is abandoned or not.
If the dev has an active patreon or SS and people aren't aware that the game is not being worked on anymore some of them will end up subbing and wasting their money. In this case it doesn't really matter as much since the dev got banned from SS once he got arrested, but it was giving people hope that the game would eventually get another update when it was pretty obvious that the game was dead.
It also helps new players to not waste time on abandoned games.

Well, it's called managing expectations. In this case, pointing out that a game is abandoned is a warning so people don't get their hopes up for a continuation that won't happen.

Using your Firefly example:
It's been 22 years since the show was canceled. The actors have moved on, Joss Whedon has been canceled and Hollywood won't touch him with a 39 and a half foot pole. Pointing out that the show is deadder than Uncle Ben and the Waynes is not to shit on you. It's just a warning to not get your hopes up. They're trying to prevent a massive disappointment later down the road. Otherwise we get the shitshow that was the DCEU. WB should've pulled the plug after Yawn of Justus, but they kept beating the dead horse kept on life support despite being already a rotting husk.

Hopefully now that the legal crap is now done and over some other dev that doesn't give a fuck will take up that challenge. Hell I've seen "devs" (quotes due to no plans to actually continue it) take abandoned AVNs like AOA Academy from other defunct/inactive/former devs and put it on Steam for a quick buck from the morons that pay for unfinished vanilla porn, though this one isn't eligible for that. Even though Seath is best set up for it he has too many of his own AVNs to deal with (at this point his argument it wouldn't help Westy is moot, those horses done left the barn last year). Then again, while the AVN itself is good it's getting dated (ongoing Gen3 joke from Seath highlights that) and there's better ones out now like SSP anyway.

It's not a rumor, there are news articles about that. Dude was doing a lot of weird shit. It's sad because the game was really good but there is nothing we can do about it.

Thing is, I don't consider news article very informative or trust worthy nowadays, but you need to ask for special permission for the australia court system to get the details about what went on in there. It's, while unlikely, possible that the "pictures" and the "stalking" were boogus, or not, and the fact that he was making PF was just a coincidence to the real crimes, but we won't know.
