I didn't even play long enough to see the visual overhaul. The game was ugly, the story/writing was stupid and the (story-)connection to games that I wouldn't play even if they were the only AVNs available was enough for me to stop playing.

I feel the same. I enjoyed the original creator approach to "Proud Father", their relationship growing based on sensitivity, affection and eroticism. No violence, gore, or mentally ill chicks.
I'd love to have the same confidence you seem to have about the future of "Proud Father".

Dont really understand the discussion.
The original plan for the game will never be fulfilled. It will not happen that Westy will ever finish the game. It might be possible that the game will be brought to a decent ending. But if not, I dont think it would be a big deal, because the alternative would be that 13.5 is the last Update.

Again,the alternative would be that the game would not be finished. With this, there is at least a chance of having a decent ending to the game.

And that's why people are expressing concerns, rather than saying it should instead die unfinished.
There's room for opinions between "let it die" and "hooray" here, and several people are expressing those opinions. This is a discussion board, after all, so people are going to discuss... And Seath is, shall we say, an option that is not without controversy.

You mean like your youngest daughter's best friend being your own bastard daughter. Your lesbian daughter's girlfriend being the daughter of the lesbian coworker that hates you for being a man banging the girl she's into? Or the bully that harasses your toungest daighter being the daughter of the lesbian coworker that hates you that ALSO happens to be in an incestuous relationship with both of her daughters? That's plenty of "lucky coincidences" that are absurd and break the immersion. That's not mentioning the whole neice/daughter thing. Westy is almost "as bad as Seath" in this area.
My only worry is that Seath is that he pulls a Reverse Whedon/Snyder JL scenario and make this darker and unnecessarily long until Westy can escape Earth's Pandora (Aus) and finish the story as intended. PF: the Westy Cut...
