You can't remove her completely, but you should be able to avoid her route.

Tried avoiding her route but the dev is like kinda wants you to see her as an love interest even though I chose not pursue her...

Renpy games basically works by showing pre-made pictures, in fact a little bit like a glorified PowerPoint, but with branching choices. This means that there is no way to tell the game to remove a part of a picture - they are pre-made and they look how they look. (*)
And removing all pics with Dadi in would of course mean removing a lot of central pics in the game.

(*) ok there are exceptions: renpy can be told to layer pictures on top of each other, and some games use this to show a scene with a static background and switch cut-out characters on top of it. But afaikt Our Island is not made in that way. )

Made a little cheatoptions-mod for the very beginning, to see the "other" scenes (bar & pologame mostly), gladly the dev decided to stop "branching" after that. Thank you very much for that awesome game dude, really. <3

Is there a way to completely remove Dadi (grandmother) character ... Not my thing ngl, and also as an Indian I felt really weird hearing that.. Not saying its bad thing or else cuz it might liking of some people but not for me sorry..

Dadi's past hit deep for me, I have family that went through similar, but it was not the girl but the baby who was on the street. Also indian.

Thankfully she is now part of a loving family that will accept her no matter what. No need to hide desires or pregnancies. It can all be out in the open. A proper family that loves unconditionally no matter what.

I think that's a rather optimistic timeline.
Our Island is on the back burner for now. It's a result of the "incident in Aus" that happened last year.
Dev have decided to lay low and work on his other game "The Fosters 2" for now.

I love this game. I've replayed it twice and if a new update ever comes out I will play it from the beginning again. I just hope the dev isn't scared away from delivering the same themes because of the ridiculous loli witch hunt online. Seriously, so many great stories are targeted for the dumbest reasons.

This game is awesome and I've really grown to love it as well always looking back over the thread and what not to see if there is more info. I just hope that with everything that went on the dev is not second guessing about making the second though. And yes I do know about Fosters 2.

Great game, the animations could be a little longer, but there's enough to see. It's also great that there are different age groups and body types. I can hardly wait until season 2 comes out.

Like this game. Had to start over again due to computer crash, but it is worth it.
