Well...rough estimate probably around $100,000 for the last ten years, but that doesn't include the whole 30 years before AVN's became popular.

As F-95 and all the other sites didn't exist then. Usually it was just a fringe hobby on older engines, and 2D translated hentai games.

I've had a bit of bad luck with that, maybe 5,000. The games available here often get abandoned before I try them, so I don't count them.

Well, let's see... my AppData/Roaming/Renpy folder has ~370 items in it. And I try to declutter it somewhat on occasion so let's say I've deleted 130 folders from it over time. Assuming 100 of those folders are for games I still keep up with, and arbitrarily splitting the rest between games I played but didn't bother redownloading and games that just got abandoned... I'll be waiting for that $20,000 check in the mail.

Funny enough I started playing in 2022, but I don't think any of the games I played have been abandoned except for evermore(though technically the author did say he will finish it in a different form). But I did start games that were alr declared abandoned
