I grew up falling asleep with the TV on for background noise, think it took me almost a year to break the habit and start falling asleep in darkness with no lights on. Nowadays I read until my eyes give up on me.
Darkness - with a noise machine that makes the sound of rain (more to cancel out outside noise than for the noise itself.) Need to take a few Benadryl, too since I no longer drink 4 or 5 beers before bed. I always had trouble. As a child/teen I often didn't fall asleep until about sunrise.
I'm already a bad sleeper, if i'm not in complete darkness and have a fan or something for noise, it only gets worse. Been like this since i was a child.
True darknes, thank God I don't have any problems sleeping other than my anxiety, but my position of sleep is trash, every now and then some nerve gets out of place.
