Having spent most of my life on night shift, the amount of light or noise doesn't matter, if I'm tired I sleep.

I usually jerk one or two times and take a Quetiapine pill to sleep.

Interesting topic, much stranger than I expected 😲
Dark and silent is best. Noise is fine if it can be filtered out as background noise. Light just annoys me, can't ignore that under normal circumstances.

*looks at time*
Heh, perhaps I should take this topic as a clue and go to bed early, might actually get 6 full hours in (it's after 1 here).

For a while i have been going to sleep with lights off and youtube vids of rain sounds playing in the background. I fall asleep within 15 minutes when i do that.

I wish I could sleep in complete darkness, but I work at night, so I sleep in the morning...

Dam, i hate my job... but it pays well.

Must be a interesting experience, work at night. It's like you live in a different timeline from other people. When my world is running yours is sleeping

Poorly and infrequently. For some reason that's not a poll option.

Lights off, blackout curtains blocking the window, and the only potential light is a bug trap down the hall. Maybe with the fan on during summer to deal with the heat, but on medium or low to avoid too much noise.

Basically pitch black. A small green LED on a flashlight plugged into an outlet gives a slight amount of light.

Yes, isn't bad at all. My job is quiet and I don't have to deal with stupid clients. All of them are sleeping. Hahaha

Complete darkness, complete quiet. And an alarm set so i do eventually wake up.

usually with the tv on and a fan or radio set to a timer. Have to have some noise going or can't sleep. Most nights are restless due to chronic pain and ptsd.

I sleep in total silence. Also I was constantly tired even after 9+ hours of sleep, then I started taking Testosterone boosting supplements and have been waking up after 5 hours of sleep with no tiredness until the end of the day.
