I will check out a game and skip to see if it is worthwhile, and if I like it, I will wait until it is completed and go through it more thoroughly.

Totally agree! I'm a total sucker for getting lost in a good story. Skipping context can be tempting, but it's like missing the setup to a killer punchline - it just doesn't hit the same. I'm all about soaking up every detail to get the full experience. When I'm reading to unwind, I might take a more relaxed approach, but I always circle back to savor the juicy bits.

And just to add in, the visuals too

I read everything unless the story is terrible then I skip unless the renders are equally terrible then I move on

I usually read all the dialogue but if there are e.g. books or newspapers in the game that don't add anything to the story I skip it.

Man I wish I kept the attention span to often be a full reader, I generally enjoy things better when I do. However quite often my eyes glaze over and I'll try to skip. Quite problematic with my likness for a good story to go with the depravity

If it's interesting I read, sometimes skip if the plot gets too weird or makes no sense.

I wish most writers would just before delete 50% of the text, it's like the write text for text, not to give the information or create the atmosphere...

Skipper for games where I’m curious about the sex scenes but can live without them.
