What i tend to do is when i see a game i like i make 2 saves. One to play the game and not skip it to read the story. And the other to skip everything and use it as a gallery. If its a type of game where the scenes are one time only and no gallery ill make a bunch a saves and label them! But most of the time i play the game and read the story!
The better it's written and the more I like the story and the characters the less I skip but there are games that feel like I already played them a hundred times, in those I tend to skip a lot.
Depending a little on the kink. As was said before, corruption stories don't work without having character development. And that won't work without reading text.
When first starting a new game I always skip over everything just to see if there even is any action. Then, if the action looks appealing I go back and start over to enjoy the story.
I usually begin by reading everything. Some games reward you with genuinely funny parts if you keep reading. Also an interesting plot can enhance the fap sometimes. Other games however, it starts to feel very drawn out and I end up skipping most everything from that point on. Detail and exposition is ok, but at some point it tends to feel like the update was simply padded with tons of pointless dialogue. It helps if there isn't 2.5 hrs of reading in between each scene.
What's the point of a novel if your not going to read it? The devs put a lot of time and effort into coming up with a plot/story that add context to why and how you lead up to certain things happening and skipping through just to get to the spicy scenes, you might as well just go to the hub.
