Abandoned VN Ren'Py DAZ Father, Teacher, Villain [v0.2.0] [Abacus Games]

Ok, the changes seem to be persisting this time, although I'm not sure what I did differently.

Now, I'd just like to know how to get the dialog boxes to reflect the changes made to the character names.
Have you just tried changing them in the game itself instead of relying on URM? When you pull up the character bios, if you go to the MC you should have the option of modifying them there. Also, at the very beginning of the game you're asked what the MC's name should be. Did you decide you didn't like what you chose for his name earlier on or something?

This was mostly the problem of the last name, which changed for the MC, but not any of the rest of the family.

Additionally, the name changes persisted inside the dialog boxes, but the headers over the dialog boxes still shows the default names for the other characters.

I changed the default given names in other files (._id) as well using URM, and it screwed up the character profiles and caused the game to freeze when looking at the stats or history.

Sounds interesting I might wait until there is more content to play.

VPN + Adbock = what ads and malware?

well, even the "lolis" have tits so to me it makes little sense to go lower than 12. Not sure it can go lower than that as I didn't try, but sometimes with age setters that's a usual limit for some reason. I really wish devs would just use default intended ages instead of have people guessing while everyone pretends they are fake 18's like usual. Unless they're in Australia or North Korea or something.

sadly there still isn't much here, even after about 1½years you get a peek and the wife and that's about it, if you're on a pay pr MB you might want to skip this one for a good few years still, despite the lag of new releases atm

In terms of content you're right, but this game is miles ahead of most in work done with the programming. It has paths, char pages, reacting menus/story etc.. We can just hope now that those mechanics are implemented the dev can focus on content and dish it out at a quicker pace. Because this game feels like it deserves the recognition it can get.

More often that not life gets in the way. Like most it's a hobby, not a day job. Even full time devs can take 2-4 months to put out a decent-sized update, so I'm not surprised when hobbyists take 2-3x that.

I mean a solid code is definitely an excellent thing but idk it seems weird to me to focus that much on it right now especially when your game is still barebones content wise. Code updates won't help you build a fanbase, which this game really needs. It's been here for almost a year and a half and it barely had any progression content wise since the initial release, if a few extra renders at some point (assuming 2.0 really doesn't include anything new as depicted in the changelog, I haven't played it).

I hope you are right and that dev can now fully focus on creating new content.

Edit:

From a subscribestar post earlier this month

Progress for 0.2 is roughly.

Planning Scenes (29) 100%
Writing Dialogue (20/20) 100%
Choices (23/23/xx) 100%
Characters (9/9) 100%
Building Scenes 100%
Rendering (264/264/xxx) 100%
Postwork 0%
Features (0/1) 0%

0.2 does appear to have new content :)

Looking at the changelog it seems like it's just bugfixes so I'll just wait for the next update.
It is not, it is another day, but it is not a lot of content. I think there was maybe one sex scene, maybe two? I was confused by that too, usually they say how many renders/whatever else amount of new content there is in changelogs.
