She is the protagonist's cousin. Therefore, she is automatically placed in the family branch. We simply don't have such a term as cousin. I don't know English and I use a translator.

Ohhhhhh I see. I still didn't remember so I restarted the game to run through it to see what the hell I was forgetting... and saw it immediately. That very first scene with the aunt and cousin was added at the very end of development and I forgot all about it. (I had already played the rest of the game a few times over and remember it pretty well but that first scene only once.)
