I think it's safe to say this project is dead. The idea of it coming back with all original assets was already like a fever dream.

It's not that much as far as length anyway. It would literally be easier just to make one's own loli-incest AVN from scratch instead of try to copy another artist's posing, lighting, and morphing techniques, reverse engineer all the assets, and try to guess where he planned on going with the story. Assuming one had the assets already it would easier for SSP as it ended right in between seasons (so the MC would obviously survive and can be rather open-ended beyond that).

Reverse engineering the assets isnt required if you can get somebody to replicate the face. Before he got banned for whatever bullshit from renderhub 3Dking made this for sale which kinda looks like best girl. You get someone who can copy the models or learn it yourself and the other parts that matter are easy.

Still, if you can model characters as pretty as that one you might as well start a brand new project rather than copying another one. EGBE had a lot of potential, mostly because it was one of the only loli games with actually great renders, animations and models out there. But plot-wise we didn't know enough to tell whether it was actually going to be good. It had a great excuse to be around smols, definitely. Beyond that, somebody could make a different plot with a similar excuse, just like That New Teacher pretty much has the same excuse as Stormside to engage with LIs.

I'd lean more toward perverted elementary school teacher for lolis or church priest for shotas. Plenty of real life examples for inspiration if I also tossed in things like the MC having side gigs after class like ice cream van driver, party clown, or xmas Santa (which I distinctly remember myself even though I wasn't even 4 yet after standing in line for what seemed like forever at my uncle's job at the time that made Goodyear tires, the bastard still had a hard-on to the point of almost pitching a tent from the previous similarly-aged girl in front of me sitting on his lap).

Sadly assets aren't just locations and character models. If continuing someone else's AVN aside from writing style lack of or changed appearance of background objects will be the next thing people will notice even when using similar character morphs. And they do make a noticeable difference if, say, in a kitchen/dinner scene half the tableware is missing from where it typically was before from the previous dev or it looks completely different. It's like My Sister's Devious Plot, many people, including the dev's writer, were on that dev like flies on shit because the renders often didn't completely match what the text was describing, and that was all his own AVN rather than a pickup of someone else's.

True, but it really isn't that hard, these days AI can automate it. He could have also simply did what BHG did, make his own dammed site and only give certain paid tiers access. I'd hope they have deep pockets, because they'd have to resub with another $10 every time they got whacked, so it'd start to get expensive to keep being a mole, and end up paying for content and supporting a dev they supposedly hate to do that while they were at it.

Well, if I was in his shoes personally I wouldn't have even annouced it without something to release, otherwise you get swamped with DM's constantly asking for updates like backseat kids asking are we there yet every 10-15 minutes/miles. Maybe he's still working on it, maybe he gave up, give it a year or 2 and see what happens. Even under the best conditions (assets already saved in Daz) and no real life distractions like a job, losing their mind with depression or bipolar disorder, etc it can take a few months, double that if he's as much of a perfectionist as Ketzal was,

I'm wondering how hard it would be for a developer to find/make a subscriber platform on the Dark Web, would it not be be easier to gatekeep the snitches and pearl clutchers?

I don't think it'd look good for the site to have an onion address for plus games. I've already seen people here offering clearnet urls like candy for places where you can download sketchy stuff. An onion address would probably worsen the behavior of members here and lead to more targeting from SJWs and authorities.

I'm not sure what you mean by worsening the behavior, as in what sharing illicit content? Yes that should be discouraged, but isn't the whole point and reason there is a plus tier on this site that there are SJWs and LE who are actively trying to take it down? I'm reminded they are trying to do this every time I hear a dev who is making a loli game get shut down or even prosecuted for daring to make pixels in a certain order. I figured a platform existing in a non sourced place could take the heat off of this one which can go on sharing the vanilla normie porn games, meanwhile a dark site of this one, but more secure and can't sink, could exist where devs could post what they wanted and set up links to fake fronted Patron accounts like they used to to on Discord (god I HATE Discord).

If this is a platform for payments that means working with an electronic payments processor. And they're the ones putting pressure on Patreon/SubscribeStar/whoever else to purge material they consider offensive. You might attempt to bypass that with e.g. an entirely crypto-based platform but that drastically limits your well of users, because most people are not using crypto for that kind of transaction.

most tor sites are crypto only, for the same reason public sites ban everyone, the payment processors force them to or lose access to their payments and none are willing to also switch to crypto only (higher fees and slower transactions, plus people are paranoid or ignorant and assume crypto is for criminals, even though these days technically everyone is a criminal for one reason or another, they just are not aware of it). Maybe later when the PP's start banning all porn and even just nudity in any form they will reconsider, as the alternative will be altogether ceasing to exist. Though as unlikely as it is I do hope that Steam is just making their own bank after last year's bullshit. The red tape takes 3 years and takes about $30m or so but they make $4B a year so money is not a problem. Maybe if that happens I will go back to them instead of just pirating everything with a torrent client and a VPN like I now do.

BTC is mostly for investment anyway. Most tor sites ask for Monero as it's the most private/anonymous, esp when it was bought on a non-KYC exchange (you mail them greenbacks via snail mail and get a USB stick back in the mail with wallet details, no questions asked other than giving a transaction number and they certainly don't ask for ID). Need a payment system for one's child porn site, online pharmacy or to hire a hitman? That's the best way to do it, as even if they put it all together it will take so long you will probably already be dead from natural causes anyway. And even with BTC tracking transactions doen't mean much when the money has already exchanged hands, esp if one physically doesn't stay in place too long and bank accounts are opened with stolen ID's (which only need to be open long enough to receive the cashout). Look what the gov't had to do to physically catch Silk Road's admin (they had to physically steal his laptop in a CIA-worthy op), and that was only because he got sloppy and kept logging in from his laptop from the same library, so got too predictable (though thanks to that now there's a laptop app kill switch that will automatically 0 the drive and intentionally overload the battery and burn it in such situations if it goes outside a set gps coordinate range).
