Does it matter if MC is faceless or not for people that self-insert themself?

I personally tend to roleplay as if i am the character rather than them being me it add's more dynamic choices i might not pick the options i would in real life etc

Hum don't really care if it's faceless or not, but i do prefer with a face and predetermined name.

For me I prefer silhouette/faceless protagonists as i find it easier to connect with them. I find that games that do have a look for the protagonist in mind should stick to giving them a rather plain appearance (No, wacky hairstyles, massive tattoos and genital piercings). Its rare that i find a named protagonist with there own authentic style that i do like.

If MC looks like a retard, have awful hairstyle, or keep giving a retard face expressions when seeing naked girls/women, then I rather MC be faceless.

For me it doesn't matter if he has a face or not. I think I care more if he lets me write my name. That makes me feel like I'm really the main character.

There is no problem whether it has or does not have a face. The important thing for me at stake is that the mc is not ugly, fat and very old (I don't play those three that he has)

Watching the LIs open their mouths while kissing your screen is not hot at all, imho...

I hate the faceless MC with a passion. The only exception I'll make is for Harem Residence. It was one of the earliest games I started playing, so I didn't have much of a reference to compare it with. I just got into the game and story, so I keep playing it, when there's a new update. But it still freaks me out, every single time the MC is shown with just a blank face with no eyes or nose to speak of, just a mouth. Please, just give me a generic face or even keep it out of frame.

It's easier to "self-insert" if MC is faceless. For me it does not matter if MC has a face or not. I'm just playing somebody else then.

Not for me, I actually prefer them to have a personality and face.

While definitely easier to self insert when MC is faceless (and you can rename them), as long as MC doesn't look horrible I don't mind too much.

I prefer faceless. Definitely like the idea of living out my own story instead playing someone elses.

faceless is fine with me i typically use the invincible option if available.

I like to see the MCs POV as much as possible, so no MCs face during sex scenes at least is best IMO

I actually don't have a preference. I dont mind either. What i don't like is when games have the profile of the character while they are talking. I prefer to see just the name and the texts

Better faceless than ugly, truth be told.

Except clearly for games where the fun is for the MC to be ugly or simple.
