    The game used to develop fairly quickly, few weeks, maybe a month or two between and always had new contents and story until it went into "tech update" Now it has been dragging on for years with "updates" very far in between with little or no new contents.

    Do you change the MC's name and to what?

    I change male MC to my name. I find it easier to notice when the MC is mentioned when using my name. For female npc I either leave default or rename, depends on mood. For male npc, I usually don't care about them so I rename to Loser or Dork or something like that.
