Not really, but too many people think a "story" means there has to be like 6 hours of reading before you get to see a left tit.

in the first releases if you go with the third date rule you need to have enough story to get them to come back.

There are some well written games out there still. I usually filter by average ratings/reviews first and look through those first. Most brand-new games are released with the minimum amount of content but with an idea or objective so that they can build up support through the process. Although the side effect of this is often games end up without any real story.

The problem is most people don't review or rate games. When you do get reviews sometimes the complaints don't even make sense or they are clear that the player didn't even read or finish the first update. I have seen reviews that just complain that the content they want is not in the game, or reviews that say x y or z is horrible when that content is not even in the game.

I find it is best to hear directly from people that I know like games similar to what I enjoy. I would rather listen to their feedback.

Too many people making a game for a quick buck now. Most don't seem to have a decent story planned out before they start either.

I like games like 'Dating my Daughter' not only for the visuals but also for the storytelling/creation inside...

Oh no, not that, it's more that IMO it's a game that takes way to long/to much story before something is happening...

I was wondering about a rule I didn't know not confused on my opinion, croizer is a good 3d artist but for last year or two I d/l unren and honeyview then delete the game.

The 3D artistry is pretty nice/decent/good, but the story and the updates are going soooo sloooooooow....

back years ago when happy summer started it was SOOO grindy there was one update that you got to see your sister nude while playing cards, yes you saw daughter in bathroom but that cardgame was my breaking point with that game, only looked at graphic after that...

At some point people realized how much money some games were making on patreon and than many devs tried to come up with new games without any decent storytelling skills.

Well, renpy, sugarcube and rpgm make it "easy" to create games. "easy" as in learnable without being smart enough to use the ability once aquired.
But working from home, earning while sleeping, getting paid for your own imagination and spreading used fap material seems to motivate a bunch of people who obviously never opened a book.

It often does with so much saturation. Why do you think remakes and adaptations are about the only things you see coming out of Hollyweird now? Original ideas are few and far between and then you have folks that are good at graphics, but can't write to save their life. I've found some good ones, but most are mediocre at best.

There was a time when VNs use to tell fun stories. Now games take forever to update so you completely loose track.

Which games still have a good story and regular updates??

Normally I follow the story until I see someone I want to see fkd then I fast forward to that scene
