Do you prefer the MC to be male, female, or don't really care?

I struggle with games that have the female protagonist. I want to be able to put myself in the eyes of the game and can't do that in those games. Some are still great but its a struggle for me

Male 100% if I have the option.

Female protag is fine in most non-porn games, if there is no choice. Beyond Good and Evil FTW

Male MC, always.
Only time female MC I can cope with is as in-game switch of view point.

I prefer male protagonist, but i wont say no to a game without male protagonist.

As a man I definitely prefer a Male MC, but I did play some of the x-change games back in the day where you played a guy who turns into a girl and that was fairly amusing but overall I probably wouldn't enjoy playing a girl much otherwise.

Either or works. Just has to be written well and not random bullshit. I prefer them to be female in unity games though, some of the male character models I've seen are just ridiculous.

If it's a good story, or it has really good graphics, it doesn't matter. Otherwise I preffer male

I'm male, so MC is more natural than FeMC. Haven't yet played a FeMC only VN (though probably would if it looked good), but have played one that gives you the choice (playing routes from both perspectives) and another, Desert Stalker, that has an optional co-route with the eldest daughter as she goes on a quest. So far that has been just story building and allowing you to see other parts of the world and lore not on the MC path, though there was some flirtation with the queen that may result in some "separate play perspective" from the path played through the daughter's eyes in the future.

I don't mind either but when playing a female MC I play her as a total slut and drop pants for anything

I prefer Attack Helicopter. There is a game that does give you that option for fun, complete with the sound effects. If that option isn't available, I try both POV's to see the different dialog choices / responses if I like the game.

Usually Male Protaganists is a filter I would use. I like to put myself in the protaganists shoes. Feels weird persuing men as a female protaganist. The only one I somewhat played were the Chloe series.

Male and muscularity
