Though I do overwhelmingly prefer male MCs for the drop-in fantasy, I do fully agree how frustratingly passive most of them are written. Part of why I like the "maledom" tag is that the MC has a friggin' backbone, and apparently showing some initiative counts as being dominant in most H games.Female MC is more interesting because there's fewer female lead VN's and the dynamic of the VN is different.
FMC are less likely to be passengers in their own story like a lot of MMC's are.
Passive works when most of the women in these stories just throw themselves at the MC.Though I do overwhelmingly prefer male MCs for the drop-in fantasy, I do fully agree how frustratingly passive most of them are written. Same. As long as the story works, I don't mind what the MC is.Either is fine, it more about the content than the MC for me.
True, although women throwing themselves at MC for seemingly no reason is itself a sign of poor writing.Passive works when most of the women in these stories just throw themselves at the MC.
This !! If the game is a harem, I prefer to play a male. If it is rather based on corruption, then playing a female is Totally OK!Really depends on the flow of the story (if there is one), and the type of content. Rather be a dude banging all the chicks, but games like Karryn's Prison are fun.
