For regular games, I don't care about gender as long as the story is good.
For adult games, don't think I've ever played as a female MC. I should try some out to get an opinion on the matter.

Thread is strongly leaning towards male, I'm on the male MC also. Yet, with all of us going male, female protagonist games seem to rate highly, wonder why this is?

The majority that not only prefers male mcs but outright refuses to play as a female MC isn't going to rate the games they refuse to play. Same as if you had a game dedicated to eating shit, its ratings would only come from coprophilia fetishists who'd tell you it's the best shit ever. Whereas people who prefer female mcs over male ones don't generally outright refuse to play as a male mc, they'll just rate a game lower for it.

Male MC only. In fact, I even mind when the MC has a face. I can play some games like the Rick and Morty one, if the setting really justifies it but I want featureless MCs otherwise.
