If the game updates frequently, I skip a few updates (sometimes I wait 8-6 months, like in the case of We Are Lost). In other cases, when the project is at the final stage of development, I wait for the final version of the game to appear (Bright Past is an example). But I consider it a waste of time to replay the game regularly (updates often make previous saves incompatible), and we don't have a lot of time to waste. It's better to devote it to more useful things.

I wait for a good amount of content. The only games I play on each updates are the ones with high content updates.

I play whenever is possible. You never know if a game will be abandoned, so why not play now?

It really depends on how big the updates are and how long they take, just like most people, I would think. Obviously, for the games that update infrequently with big updates, I play every update. The ones with frequent small updates, I may skip some, unless an update has something I've been waiting for.

good games I really like -> every update. With the others I wait a bit.

I try and wait a good bit if I see a game is fairly new. I've made the mistake of downloading a few games once they came out only to figure out that there wasn't much content yet or it was full of bugs and still in sorta development stages.

i normally just play the update the day it comes out but i really wish i would wait a couple updates before playing again

Generally I will play every update as it becomes available simply due the lenght of time between updates normally. If I let it go too long there is a good chance that I either forget that I even started playing the game and miss the update or inadvertantly drop the game.

I hate teasing myself with small updates. If it isn't at least a full act, I don't bother.

I typically wont play a game if its under 200mb, just cause there isnt enough content for me to get into it

Depends on the game. Selected few I check every update. Others, I wait. Sometimes until completion.

It depends on the frequency of the updates, if the game updates frequently than I can afford to skip a couple updates but if the game updates take a lot longer ( like 3 or 4 updates a year ) then I'll play every update that comes out.

Depends on the game. If I've played it before and know the updates are short I'll ignore the updates until I realize "Oh yeah it's been a while since I've played it". But others tend to have a lot of content so I play every update I see.

If it's not a game that actually delivers some content each update, I'll wait.
I usually check the patch notes. Anything less than hundreds of new renders is a pass tbh. "Added part two of day two." Nope, I'll wait until we have like day 10. Usually abandoned by then sadly.

I've been following some games and realized that I'm not enjoying them as much as when I played them for the first time. and one of the reasons is that the amount of content in an update is not enough to keep me engaged, so I was curious to know how the "community" plays and if any of you have the same problem.
it also depends on how interesting the game is
