Hell no, that's annoying. I play adult games to see content. Minigames are especially very annoying.

I'm ok with some mini-games as long as it's not obnoxious to do, but those RPGMaker games with a bunch of grind can piss off.

Depends, on games where gameplay is focus and i enjoy it such as freecities or strive: concquest or lilith's throne i welcome a challenge.
If it is a VN so far only huniepop's match 3 gameplay was good enough to where i welcomed challenge. Tried a bunch others but their gameplay was so basic it became more luck than skill possibilities. But in genereal VN minigames i think it is best if skippable so the player get to choose.
Memory or simon says do nothing for me in this day and age of the interactive medium

I hate grinding. I hate repeating actions just to get more "points" (bench every morning to reach 10 strength). It can be fun if it is really into the story (every time you go to the gym it is different). I also like to have to chose answers or options that I need to think a bit what would the LI I am talking to really like... but to be fair it is really hard to do it right...
So a bit of difficulty to make it interesting, but no grinding!!

Personally, when I play it's either for a good story with the bonus of lewd content, or I enjoy the art and skip the story. Sometimes I skip certain story elements/paths and just focus on the characters/storylines I like.

unfortunate you were unable to beat it but as far as i am concerned you were able to see the best art in that game anyway. If i had the game still installed and a save left just after beating it i would have given you one just to sate your possible curiosity but alas i do not.

Depends. Useless grind is not equal to good. Evenicle has some nice power scaling for a h-game

I've been known to say (not just in adult games) something like "the difficulty in this game is about a 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999. It should be about a 2.

Every time I have to stop fapping to solve a puzzle I lose interest and any poorly thought out sandbox with shitty navigation and timed movement with a password you were supposed to remember while molesting a potential LI from a scene in the game that is only updated once every 6-9 months is a definite no. Give me a decent story with a few minor challenges or, even better, a story where the decisions can lead you down multiple paths with multiple scenes with different content.

Definitely not. I enjoy build up and character progression, hate grinding and anything that pulls me away from the immersion- combat, puzzles, etc

Only with great rewards, otherwize it's frustrating. Everything is balance and tension.
