its weird, most avn that use ai as art stick out like a sore thumb
its a tool, like many said, but when we compare it when devs use daz/koi/hs2 even when they use "same" model of characters, you still feel differences in writing, posing, etc which makes me want to try it
but i dont blame the devs for using ai/trying to use it, but right now its gives off a really cheap vibe i guess, hard to explain

I think it just depends what the AI is being used for. Doesnt really bother me that much though

I'm impartial. I'll give it a fair shot but ultimately it's about the complete end product for me and not whether it was or wasn't a.i. produced.

be it for the story or the visual, never been a fan of AI generated content

First, those AI don't "create" anything, they generate something based on a prompt and a bunch of data it was provided before. It will never have the same "soul" as having a real person behind the content. on top of that, AI art usually tend to feel kinda generic, which make sense, as the content is made based on what exist, so of course what is more popular end up being used as a base more.

if it is as a placeholder until real art can be made, fine, but filling a game with those AI generated content usually have the opposite effect on me and make me avoid it

as a whole, i think the whole AI trend is a massive speculation bubble that will pop sooner or later, and the only reason big corporations are hyping it up is because of the possibility of saving a handful of $ despite the quality of service dropping massively as a result

I am not a fan. I haven't seen anything that doesn't look wrong and the animations are terrible.

Not a fan of AI yet. It doesn't seem to capture emotion very well and the animation doesn't work for me. At least in what I have seen so far. I am sure that will change.

Ai sets of my paranoia sensor.

I fear it will make a profile of my deeds and send it to the police.
Where it will gather dust for 50 years.

It will take some getting used too.
Beyond that it is a tool.
No different then windows paint or unity or renpy.

Just something to make the creators life easier.

Personally I do not like AI. I understand the usefulness for a tool that can quickly make boring things like far backgrounds or random passerbys, but the main content of the product, if made by AI, feels souless, bland, even cheap despite the appear of high quality pencil, as if anyone can do it, removing the uniqueness given by hand.
Another problem that I noticed when experimenting VNs, is that the AI art do not replicate itself precisely for different positions, expressions, and angles. The entire image is new and prone to have noticeable changes, ruining the immersion from novels that offer emotional dialog curves.
In my eyes, AI is just another tag that reduces the quality of something.

I could possibly get behind AI for backgrounds but not characters or story. That being said I do love see AI character feet and hands because they look so odd.

AI is over hyped currently. Perhaps in the far future it can be useful but currently i'd say only useful use for it is making background cg edits. Not to mention all the problems with AI, like the massive water and electricity use those AI data centers have.

I personally quite dislike AI art for a lot of reasons.
  1. When used to make "realistic" images, characters often fall solidly within my uncanny valley. (Daz used to fall within this, but I got used to it over time. I may finally get used to seeing AI people, but that hasn't happened yet.)
  2. AI art often screams lazy to me. There are specific niche uses which I actually don't mind, but they're the uses which you often don't notice. (Example: isolating the hair from a Daz render and having AI redo just that.) But if you're just generating the entire image from scratch, that really just screams to me that you don't want to put any time into the work.
  3. AI art generally doesn't make features consistent from image to image. A character might look slightly different from one image to the next, or particularly with freckles, may have an entirely different pattern.
  4. Most if not all AI companies are ran by assholes.

For me AI screams "I'm lazy" when its used in any kind of work and that includes porn games. Nothing wrong to use it to make pictures for your own use.
You would expect that the work that the developer didnt put into making the visuals has been put into anything else either the UI, the plot, gameplay but most of the time its not.

dont like games made entirely by AI, I think AI can help in a lot of thing involving games, but not in make renders and things like that. dont know if you see my point

I think you can do some really cool things with it so long as you are thoughtful about implementation.

Its kinda crazy how you have infinite possibilitys with AI and we get the same repeted slop over and over again. How many games do we need where your gf (insert random fem character from anime) cucks you with (insert bald black guy)

Love ai but hate ai images. The way I see it is it taking away from.human creativity
