When I play a game where you can change the main character's name, I choose to simply change it to Jay since my middle name starts with the letter J, because I prefer to go by my middle name instead of my first name.

just my name. usually because I'm skipping through the game and its easier to keep track of the MC. Don't really need to change it cause it doesn't make me more immersed. Just easier if every MC has the same name.

Yes, I change all the possible names, for the mc I usually change it to my name and, if possible, I change other characters names too for names of women I know or have met in real life.

There are games that I like to have greater immersion than others.

If the game comes with a name I have never heard IRL and that isn't the MC name from another game I usually just leave it. Elsewise I change the name to that.
