Do you believe in luck or do you think everything is planned?

Yeh I feel like live is very tiring, I never get something simply working. Everything is long struggle. Plan something, it will go wrong, money won't arrive in time, or in stead of a few weeks, it will be few months before something is finished. Or you need some heating installed, you buy some heater, your plumber quits. I wanted a new toilet, the handyman stopped working, the plumber quit, and now I finally found someone, the toilet doesn't arrive in time. You really cannot make up that shit.

It seems everything in live is a fight a struggle. My experience is, if something can go wrong, it most often goes wrong too...

It might be planned that way. So I can enjoy it more, treasure it more, when I finally have it. Or I used up all my luck in my youth, and are now I'm living out my days without any...

It's just too much to be just by accident...

Who knows...

Both, big things are planned, you got a bottle of luck and can use it. If it's gone, you need to suffer again, then you can get some more luck.

All in all life sucks. But thank god AVN updates exist....

In most cases, we only seem to think that we have control over something. That what we called luck it's in reality plan for us 😉

I think luck is what we can't see coming throw (bad or good) but all is predictable.
Predictable but not predicted because we do not have the knowledge and an omni-vision. Maybe some day...

Luck is the same thing as determinism, but when things are too complex for you to understand. So believing in luck (real luck, not calling yourself lucky or believing in the gamblers fallacy etc.) is the same as being a humble scientist.

The thing is, what one person considers lucky another might consider unlucky. That being said you can't experimentally prove everything is planned so it's effectively not true.

There is no luck, there is only fate, things are prewritten and we come to them in time.

Luck is kind of a way to excuse the choices we've made. Coincidences are also a factor of luck and some of the choices weren't made by us but for some reason feels like it was made for us.

The Universe is weird.

I think it really depends. In my career, I got pretty lucky at the start and found a great company that helped me get into the market, and for them it was kind of a gamble to invest in me. But I also think that if you put yourself out there, opportunities show up, and you have to take advantage of them to create some of you own luck. Not all of it, there are always things you can't control and both good and bad luck happen to everyone.

you never really know when youre lucky, but you do know when youre unlucky

This is exactly right.
Nothing is random, everything is a direct and proportionate reaction to whatever preceded it. Every action you have ever taken is the only action you could reasonably have taken in that moment, because that action was the direct result of your eyes/ears/etc. turning outside stimuli into electricty and shooting it into your brain through your limbic system, producing another electrical response that drove your body to act (talk, move, whatev). All of it, physics. All of it precisely predictable if we had that granular degree of perception.

It just MIGHT AS WELL be luck, because we decidedly don't have that degree of perception.

Allah says that all is written. I muhad must follow his path as other must follow theirs.

I believe preparation gives you the illusion of luck but at the same time the world just has randomness that you can almost never account for.

Shit happens. A lot of it is out of your control as in other people can fuck your shit up. You can screw your own shit up. Then it doesnt matter what you do, it still happens. Just think about all the times, you just missed something or had that ooh that was close moment. Or when things just work out. We rarely notice when luck works in our favor because everything just worked out. BUT! there is one thing I know is that "luck favors the prepared". And its amazing how many places that can apply. Simple example, having a spare tire, the jack and know how to use it :) Or you can sit there waiting for the tow truck or tire guy miss half a day of work and pay that guy to do something you could have done. If you'd have just made sure the spare tire and jack were in the car ) Here 1 more. Car keys, ever lost them? Now what? I have a hidakey on all my vehicles. I've only losy my keys once in my life and I know exactly where they are. They're in the surf at the beach when I forgot to take them out of my pocket before surfing....errr

Not quite sure I'd put it as luck so much as random causation. I do think there are predetermined things in like that you have to do, but I also think there is just as much randomness to it as well. The perfect little mix.

I think there is an element of free will to this and that reality fluidly moves beween the counterpoints of determinism and ramdomicity due to our collective and individual thoughts and actions.

Regardless of fate or luck, it's your choices that truly matter. If you feel like things are always going wrong, that everything is against you, that's okay, it's worth venting. But in the end, only your choices matter. You can blame others, you can lament, but only you can choose to get back up.
