If you go into the shop and click on an rank, you'll see on the right site a "last update" there you can see when the price changed the last time. It's a good way to see when the last discount ended or, if one is curently on, when it started.
That way one can roughly estimate how long until the next discount day. ;)

OH I didn't know about that one, its a nice tip thank you!

Thanks a lot for this detailed, easy to understand manual of this whole topic.
It helps a lot for new members like me and shows a first good impression of the community here.

this is going to take foreeeever. I have 0 coins.
It will be fine. :giggle:
Try to aim for 50-100 coins every day (days you log in) and you'll have it within a week, when the next discount day is on.
There are many question or poll threads, just state your opinion (even if it was already said) and if you are lucky you can find a nice conversation to join in.
Maybe check out this thread:
Anti-Social & Lurker Hang Out Spot
It may be a bit overwhelming, but just jump in and say 'hello', as long as you aren't an obvious "coin grinder" they'll welcome you.

And don't worry to rush it, the Games+ isn't running away. ;)

my adhd brain misunderstood the concept. So its 5 for every reply basically and more for reactions, its just that I read the "dont spam" and assumed it was only 5 basically once a day

how am I supposed to get so many per day? maybe i misread the instructions but I thought it was basically 10 coins for every day you post once. I will re read it right now.
Every post you make gives you 5 coins, every reaction (likes) you receive gives you 5 coins too.
So if you post 10 times a day, you get 50 coins plus any coins you get from likes.

There is no limit on how many coins you can earn per day, besides the 90 seconds cooldown.

If something was unclear in my guide, please let me know. :giggle:

Very good write up, thank you!
Hopefully we won't have issues again in the future that'll necessitate drastic measures.

I understand the daily shut-off, and the cooldown timer for post, but why the timer on reactions? they give points to the person reciving them, not the one who gives it. (The question is mostly because sometimes I find it annoying when liking very close post and receiving a message telling me to wait to give likes or other reactions but is not a big deal).

It's to prevent like-for-like-trades. Imagine two users like all of each others posts, that would be pretty much the same as getting coins for giving likes.

But I agree, that the like cooldown is a bit high. It was even 3 minutes before it was reduced to 90 seconds.
In my opinion 10-30 seconds would be enough, but what can I do. 🤷‍♂️

I concur. I understand the need to not artificially inflate the aggregate coin amount by a constant flood of likes, but if you haven't logged in for a day, you might find two or three meritorious new posts in the same thread thread that you genuinely want to shout out and 90 seconds is a bear of a time to wait. 30 seconds or even a minute we be so much nicer, but that just me opining from the sidelines too :)

Did not think of that possible exploit. Oh well. Living with it is going to be I guess.

In the beginning giving likes also gave coins and it didn't had a cooldown. Users used scripts to mass like entire threads, apart from the fact that the system was abused, it noticeably slowed down LC.

Most things got removed or changed because some dickhead users can't help but to cheat/abuse the system and the normal users have to suffer because of this. :(
