Important notice regarding Donation Credits, Platinum Credits, previous donations, and Vault balances​

What Happened?​

Hey everyone,

I need to be upfront about a major issue involving the Donation Reward System.

A bug in the donation reward system caused donators to receive a large amount of incorrect / ill-gotten Donation Credits and Platinum Credits.

These credits were not intended, were not earned through the proper reward flow, and were added because the system bugged out.

Because of that, I had to reset the affected Donation and Platinum credit balances so the system can be fixed properly instead of allowing broken credits to remain in circulation.

This was not done to punish anyone.​

This was done because the reward system incorrectly handed out credits that should not have existed. Leaving those credits active would have damaged the balance of the site economy and created even more issues later.​

Why the Credits Had to Be Reset​

The issue was not a small display bug or a harmless visual error. The bug directly affected the reward payout logic, which caused donators to receive much larger Donation and Platinum credit amounts than intended.​

Once those incorrect credits entered the system, there was no clean way to let them remain without causing unfair balance issues across LewdCorner.​

I would rather reset the broken credit balances now than let inflated, bug-generated credits continue to damage the system later.​

Donation Reward System Rework​

I will be reworking the donation reward system so it is more stable, cleaner, and easier to manage moving forward.

The goal is to make sure donation rewards are handled properly, consistently, and with better failsafes in place so this does not happen again.

The rework will focus on:

• Better tracking for Donation Credits
• Better tracking for Platinum Credits
• Cleaner reward payout handling
• More reliable balance updates
• Better logging and failsafes
• Protection against duplicate or inflated reward payouts
• A system that is easier to maintain without creating balance issues

This system needs to be rebuilt on a stronger foundation instead of being patched over repeatedly.​

Previous Donation Reclaim System​

As part of the new donation reward system, I will also be adding a claim / reclaim button for previous tracked donations.

This means that if your past donation was properly tracked by the system, you will be able to simply click a button and reclaim the correct credits connected to your real donation history.

The goal is to make this process as simple as possible instead of forcing everyone to manually message staff, dig through old records, or wait for each account to be handled one by one.

The reclaim system will be designed to:

• Check previous tracked donations
• Allow users to reclaim their legitimate donation rewards
• Restore true Donation Credits where valid
• Restore true Platinum Credits where valid
• Avoid restoring bug-generated / inflated credits
• Make the process easier for both users and staff

In simple terms: real tracked donations will be reclaimable. Bug-generated credits will not be kept.​

Vault System Update​

I also want to address the Vault.​

Previously, I had to disable the Vault and remove everyone’s credits from it because of how the old system was built. That was not ideal, and I understand why that was frustrating and confusing.​

Moving forward, I will be adding a better Vault disable system.

If the Vault ever needs to be disabled again, users’ credits will not be removed from the Vault.

Instead, credits inside the Vault will remain stationary / frozen in place until the Vault is re-enabled or until the system is safely updated.

That means disabling the Vault should no longer cause everyone’s Vault credits to be pulled out, moved around, or reset just because maintenance is needed.​

Old Vault Behavior vs New Planned Behavior​

Old behavior:

• Vault gets disabled
• Credits are removed from the Vault
• Users lose their stored Vault position
• Balances become confusing to track
• Maintenance creates more problems

New planned behavior:

• Vault gets disabled
• Credits stay inside the Vault
• Vault balances become frozen / stationary
• Users do not have their Vault credits force-removed
• The system can be worked on safely without moving everyone’s balances

This should make future Vault maintenance much cleaner and less chaotic.​

Main Goals Moving Forward​

• Donation rewards need to be stable.
• Platinum credit tracking needs to be reliable.
• Real tracked donations need a simple reclaim process.
• Vault credits should stay inside the Vault when the Vault is disabled.
• User balances need better protection and logging.
• Bug-generated credits need to be prevented from entering circulation again.
• Maintenance should not create more problems than it solves.

Important Note​

I know this is annoying, especially for users who had Donation Credits, Platinum Credits, or Vault credits affected.

However, the incorrect credits were generated by a bug and could not be left active without creating unfair balance issues across the site.

The goal is not to erase legitimate support. The goal is to remove the bug-generated credits, rebuild the system, and allow users with previous tracked donations to reclaim their true donation rewards properly.

I am going to be going through the system, cleaning it up, and rebuilding the broken parts properly instead of leaving everything sitting on a bad foundation.

Some systems on LewdCorner are old, some were rushed, and some clearly need to be rewritten so they stop causing problems later.

The donation reward system and Vault handling are now part of that cleanup.
