Honestly my answer will be similar to most here so yea this and like some pointed out Dune II was nice too and who can forget Shrek 2Oh easy, Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back, Godfather 2. Spider-man 2. Rocky 2. I know others will disagree but Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Also it is vastly overrated but i can't forget Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan.
My opinion is similar on a lot of movies. I like Alien over Aliens, Terminator over Terminator 2. I only need the first Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and to me Raiders is the best Indiana Jones period. There is only 1 Predator movie the original. Where i disagree Godfather 2 is a masterpiece and way better than the first. And on Star Wars the original 77 film is the best. Technically Empire is superior and its more operatic but no way near as effervescent or fun. But my opinion is very unpopular. Most series fall apart on the third entry i don't think many 3rd films are better than the second except maybe Back to the Future but that is debatable. In my opinion, everything mentioned so far except for Empire Strikes Back is much worse than the originals
I thought so too, That movie was so good to see in an IMAX Cinema.topgun maverick was a pretty good sequel to the first film

thats cool, no problem having differing opinions. its great to see so many different takes on film.My opinion is similar on a lot of movies. I like Alien over Aliens, Terminator over Terminator 2. I forgot all about that i saw that in the cinema incredible. Everything about that i love except for not including Scouring of the Shire from the book. I'm not that big of an Annie Lennox fan but Into the West was a great credit closer.thats cool, no problem having differing opinions. its great to see so many different takes on film.
id agree on the 3rd film thing, though the only exception i could think of is the LOTR trilogy.
while not necessarily sequels, these are some amazing film examples. Never heard of Sibiriada, However i have seen Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky, a film released at the same year, which im sure your familiar with.I am a lover of classics at that time, they shot a better deeper plot, a well-chosen cast, and the duration of the film. The Green Mile, Escape from Shawshank, Star Wars classic version, Sibiriada.
nice. when marvel was still in its prime.cap 2: the winter soldier is incredible.
not only one of the best marvel movies but one of the best sequel movies
some would argue the contrary, but i still enjoy the action in these movies. The John Wick movies get better and better the higher the number.
im of the same mind, AoTC was the weakest of the three prequels.I'm not going to pick Attack of the Clones, for me until Rise of Skywalker it was the worst Star Wars ever made. The last third of Revenge of the Sith only slightly makes it better than Phantom Menace for me. Ian was brilliant as Palpatine. His performance in the prequels is delightfully evil, and he does a far better job than in Return of the Jedi which was rather weak and limited.
