Fun way to end the Saga. Sadly its the last film Lucas ever directed and probably will be forever his last. I'm a fan of George's films. Yeah i've given him crap for the prequel. I didn't say sell Lucasfilm to Disney, never make another movie.

Really? it was better than the original in nearly every way. Other than the rather silly opening it was a solid movie for me. That was kind of outer space the Mach 10 test flight.

Also, the Bourne quadrilogy.

are the obvious answers to me anyway.

I'd also add if they aren't added already:
Captain America: Winter Solder - Say what you will about marvel movies, but this was an excellent sequel.
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - Just an amazing movie overall.
The Dark Knight - Heath made this film hands down.
Lethal Weapon 2 - The best buddy cop movie of all buddy cop movies.
Spiderman 2 - For the longest time I considered it the best superhero movie.
Thor: Ragnarok - If you dont like this movie there is something wrong with you.
Army of Darkness - so much better than the original.

Apparently while filming Empire George was constantly fighting everything Kirshner wanted to do. Fortunately for us, George lost those fights & we ended up with a good film. I don't hate Lucas, but he has serious flaws as a director.
Best sequel: Dawn of the Dead, of course.
