I thought Milla was great in it but it was pretty lackluster, though going for a more horror tone worked for me.

If you mean the sequel less muted colors than the first, better cinematography. A bigger canvas/scope, acting is better from the lead actor. Its clearly a superior film.

a lot of people have already said it but it merits repeating, Sherk 2. I did everything that a sequel should do and it did it great. It expanded the universe, gave us great new characters (some even becoming loved and geting their own movies), used it villian expertly, and lets not forget that "rescuing the princess" sequence. *chef kiss*
