addicted ... just managed to unlock the last of the decks a week ago!

Ok, I have to ask, what is Baltaro? Cause it just looks like poker with extra steps

In addition to what others have said, I'm finding I'm becoming a slut for rogue-likes....

Belatro has rogue-like elements in that you have a "shop" each playthrough that lets you modify how you chosen deck "works" through Joker cards, so the deck itself has a gimmick; one of them has only Spades and Diamonds for instance, whilst another might only have number cards and no face cards. The goal is to play a series of hands getting rewards in cash that let you beat ever increasing stakes, with every few games playing a "boss hand" that has specific rules of play (such as you can't see what face cards you draw so you have to guess). The shop introduces new potential cards and mechanics to the deck you chose to try and increase the cash you win each hand. It's really deep despite a simple gameplay loop!

I have had turnips before. Rarely, but from what little experience I do have, you can kinda treat them like potatoes right?

In theory, yes. You can boil them, roast them or mash them. I have not done any of those, because I hate the taste of turnips and they are one of the few foods I refuse to eat, along with horseradish and dill pickles.
