Good Morning! It's Friday August 1. No special day today.

It sure is. How often is it "Friday, August 1, 2025" where you're at?
I mean, when it's like "International Rutabaga Day or such.

Happy Friday all! Congratulations to everyone who made it through the week!
And to those who did not make it through the week, we shall remember you and pour one in your honor.

have you tried balatro
addicted ... just managed to unlock the last of the decks a week ago!
Ok, I have to ask, what is Baltaro? Cause it just looks like poker with extra steps
In addition to what others have said, I'm finding I'm becoming a slut for rogue-likes....

Belatro has rogue-like elements in that you have a "shop" each playthrough that lets you modify how you chosen deck "works" through Joker cards, so the deck itself has a gimmick; one of them has only Spades and Diamonds for instance, whilst another might only have number cards and no face cards. The goal is to play a series of hands getting rewards in cash that let you beat ever increasing stakes, with every few games playing a "boss hand" that has specific rules of play (such as you can't see what face cards you draw so you have to guess). The shop introduces new potential cards and mechanics to the deck you chose to try and increase the cash you win each hand. It's really deep despite a simple gameplay loop!

I don't believe I've ever had a Rutabaga in my life. Missing out at all?

Well have you had turnips before? They're a lot like turnips but just with a fun name.

I have had turnips before. Rarely, but from what little experience I do have, you can kinda treat them like potatoes right?

In theory, yes. You can boil them, roast them or mash them. I have not done any of those, because I hate the taste of turnips and they are one of the few foods I refuse to eat, along with horseradish and dill pickles.

Can I ask you guys for some advice?

I used to be the person on Project Myriam that edited Zor's work for english grammar and specfically for Myriam's texas idioms (I'm a Texas girl) and authenticity. I had a lot of fun doing and really felt like Myriam was a part of me. I have gotten a lot of responsibility where I work now, though and don't have a lot of free time anymore. I told Zor that I would do it when I could, and he is being crazy supportive, but I've not completed a review in multiple releases (the last I proofed was way back in 5.01). I feel horribly guilty about it.

What I wanted to ask was, have any of you guys played the game? Has the feel of it changed since I stopped? Do you think I should go back to helping, or has Zor gotten english down (I've tried to give him instruction as to what I changed and why to help him learn)?

If you say so. But you are here now, so it is at least a little special.
Pat pat pat.

I'll add it to my list of games to play. I don't recall if or when I played it.

No judgement. I don't have any issues with those foods, but I ultimately hate when meat has a bone in it cause it's more effort I don't want to put in, so I actively avoid that.
Every day.

(Stuck in time loop, please help)
Oh snap, what have you tried to break the loop so far?

I mean, when it's like "International Rutabaga Day or such.
The closest I've been to a Rutabaga was when I was taught in Drama class that saying "rutabaga, rutabaga, rutagaba" over and over again in the background of a scene made it sound to the audience that a conversation was going on they couldn't really hear....

Playing AVNs mainly, really annoyed that hasn't worked. Did clear through my backlog but unfortunately the loop resets the computer so I lose my saves.

Now I'm posting to porn game forums. Surely this will set me free!
