I watch news some times, it covers my horror requests.Any of you watching horror movies? Given that it's October and that seems like the thing for this month?

There isn't a reason for the P5 YET. That doesn't mean there won't be one. Right now it seems like a placeholder setup to prepare for something, but set at an unrealistic number so that it's currently unattainable. But maybe it's just a joke or something. But what's the point in setting up a level that isn't used? My guess is that once enough people have P4 that we'll see new benefits and the P5 cost adjusted to something attainable, to give the P4 folks something to strive for.Enjoy the journey. But if there isn't a reason for P5, and they don't really use the coins for much after P4, why wait? (Says the person who made sure to have 2k extra LC to start a nest egg.)
My day has just started, but it's going great so far!Good day everyone. Hope your weekend is going well!
Bleh. I've never seen the appeal for horror movies. At least not the ones that trade a good story for quick scares. But I'm not sure what type of movie qualifies as horror, or what branches off into sci-fi, for example. Either way, not watching anything currently. Any recommendations?Any of you watching horror movies? Given that it's October and that seems like the thing for this month?
The only thing new happening around my house is the next pot of coffee.Well hello there again, everyone! Anything new happening?
A bunch. Unfortunately, I can't play on it properly yet, since it arrived with its left controller being borked and not working in horizontal directions. Replacement joysticks should arrive later today, and I've already gotten my iFixit kit a few hours ago. But my initial impressions are really positive, it's a very capable machine, as long as you don't expect it to run everything at Ultra settings at 900 fps. That's sick! Tested any games on it yet?
The reviews that I saw unilaterally say that the original ROG Ally (not Ally X, which is the second generation that also is on the market) has poor battery life, lasting only about an hour and a bit at full power. Not surprising, since at Turbo it can do up to 25 W of power (30 W if plugged in), and the battery is about 40 Wh. Still, for $400 that I paid for this thing, I couldn't be happier about it. If you have closer to $700-800, though, I'd suggest you look into Ally X. Or you can also put in a modded battery: there are a few guides about putting beefier batteries into the original Ally, which either involve printing a new back plate, or just slightly adjusting the existing one, with different levels of sketch.Do you know anything about the battery life on it?
Decent? Good? Bad?
Do you have decaf by any chance? The only thing new happening around my house is the next pot of coffee.![]()

$400 if you get a refurbished one on eBay. I don't know if it's okay to send a link here, but I can quickly find it in case you'd like to get one yourself. How much did it cost you?
So you could play steam on this then?
Exactly!bro's got a literal pocket PC. holy moly
I think it depends on what you're after. I think Event Horizon is pretty good, it doesn't lose itself to jump scares (though it does feature a few).Bleh. I've never seen the appeal for horror movies. the most terrified I've ever been during a horror movie is when I wanted to check the time on my phone and it wasn't in my pocketJump scares are cheap. It's not really a scare, it's a startle.
Agree. I remember the game Scratches (a bit old). The atmosphere prepared me so well that I nearly sh*t myself just seen some trash lying on the floor.Jump scares are cheap. It's not really a scare, it's a startle.

games can wait, family can't. Don't feel bad, there's plenty of stuff on here to keep everyone preoccupied in the meantime.Hey guys, how is everyone doing? I have some bad news. I don't know if I have said this already, but with my girlfriend and her mom being pregnant and work piling up, I have no time to work on my game. My baby's is due next year, meaning my hands are full, so I decided to halt the game for now. I might pick it back up for now, but it is not looking likely. So, if any devs or anyone else wants to pick it up, they can.
I don't agree unconditionally here. Jump scares are a valid tool, but they must be earned. Trying to spook the audience with nothing is simply lazy, but when it's done right, the jump scare takes away your ability to distance yourself from the horror. You can't simply "this is normal, this is fine, I'm not scared at all" yourself out of it.Jump scares are cheap. It's not really a scare, it's a startle.
