I've been thinking about an avatar for Why for a while now. For some strange reason I keep thinking of the Riddler from Batman. Maybe its the question marks on his suit and hat?
Anyway, getting side-tracked from my back reading as usual, I messed around with pics of the Riddler and think this would make a good avatar for him..

I'm a bit envious now as I prefer this to my avatar!!

Yeah all the kids had a blast. Yeah there's not many around anymore. I can think of two. Well it's been 10 years since I went to one so not sure if it's still around. Was a family fun center. We were at Dave and Busters. I know along the coast here there's some tourist towns that have some proper arcades. A couple even have go cart tracks with them.

Some people make assertions that they simply can't support, and I had to do some data dives to disprove. Well, I didn't have to, it is the weekend after all, but it would have rankled me all day if I didn't put the issues to rest, or at least send my return volley.

Hey guys, how is everyone doing? I have some bad news. I don't know if I have said this already, but with my girlfriend and her mom being pregnant and work piling up, I have no time to work on my game. My baby's is due next year, meaning my hands are full, so I decided to halt the game for now. I might pick it back up for now, but it is not looking likely. So, if any devs or anyone else wants to pick it up, they can.

Other than above, just peachy! Heya, congratulations that your gf is expecting! At least I assume that congratulations are in order. I don't have kids, but not for lack of trying. Okay, yuck it up guys. No really. Had something great for a while, did the fertility clinic thing, didn't pan out for me. But such is life. The game can definitely wait for the important things. Good choice.

I think them putting in crossplay is good, then i dont have to buy a new xbox to play it with my friends. on a side note i feel like microsoft is updating games to be playable on the new console so you are forced to upgrade your old one.

I've heard many horror stories about the Ally, and knowing how bad Asus has been lately I hope your has little problems. I've had a Steam Deck since it came out and I've adored it.

I wish they had done windows, but it's forced me to learn some Linux and tinker. It's been fun

The main thing for me was how restricted I'd feel with Steam Deck compared to other Windows handhelds, and me being a tinkerer. Also, wanting better hardware: 1080p looks very good on a 7" display, and I enjoy having that option for less demanding, 2D games.

As for the horror stories, I heard that Ally has come a *long* way in the past year and a half with all the updates they made to the software side of things. MicroSD issues aren't a bother to me, since I don't use those, and I don't really remember anything else that was a huge fuck up about the original Ally (apart from the battery life, but that just sounds like a good side project to me).

The only restrictions I've found is multiplayer games that use EAC software, which is Linux supported but they refuse to do it. However I basically only do single player games so I never have that issue. Have you tried Emustation on the ally yet, On the deck, it's one of the best things to use for setting up all your classic game needs. I know they've made a windows version now, which I've heard is good. Suprisingly one of the things that has stopped me from getting the Ally and other handhelds is the lack of the trackpad. I've gotten so used to that. it truly feels like a mouse.

As I said, I hope you truly enjoy it. With how popular the switch became after people said mobile gaming was only for phones now, it's great to see real devices. I love that with devices such as the ally or steam deck, whatever the MSI one is called, that we are entering an age where true gaming is mobile. You take a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and you have a real computer attached to a motel TV or something.
