Something I wondered, if having sex with food is a fetish, then having sex with cooked meat is a fetish.

But what about raw meat? How far back in the food production process does it become socially unacceptable? Like a corpse is a definite no, but leather clothing is and cooked meats is an allowed fetish. So where exactly is the line that it becomes unacceptable? Is porking a pork chop allowed?

Spoiler: What really happened

The girls are killed by humans bombing the open air school they attend. There is an egoistic and racist reason beyond that action that makes the watcher react in that way, more than if they were killed by the monsters. The anime manages is able to convey very well these emotions in the audience. You can feel the shock, rage and impotency of the characters, without failing on an easy overdramatization.

I've grew up rural enough to have some experience raising livestock for food. Taking an animal from the stage of growing it all the way to serving it on a plate just makes moral conversations about animals hit differently. I think too many people buying meat in the store don't really understand where it comes from. They know, but they don't really comprehend.
