It's like they always hate when the customer knows more.

I do service work in a different industry and always tell the customer, "I will do what you want me to do first, but you'll have to pay for it even if it doesn't work"
Most of the time, they'll just have me try their idea first and have no problem if it doesn't work. It's not so hard if you're honest.

Thing is, they did all the tests and I told them about a prior issue from 12 or so years ago that gave me the same performance problems, and if someone could just check on that as they were checking everything else, even if they couldn't fix it on the spot, then that might be worth the time. They were already up on a ladder running new line, why they couldn't at least look for damage on the connection is beyond me. Rodents chewing on shit is easy to notice - that's what it was last time. They chewed a hole in the equipment and water got in an fucked it up. The guy that came back a couple of days ago said it was likely that piece of equipment that was the problem, but even he didn't go up and look at it.

I have moments where I'm like "Why am I even doing this when DF exists?" but, I remind myself I'm doing this for fun and just to prove I can! haha.

And squirrels can be assholes. Might need to get the pellet gun, go back to my farming family roots, and start collecting squirrels for smoking and stewing. With dumplings. Maybe make some hats.

So I found this fairly amusing and thought I'd share it with the peanut gallery. Louisiana might start castrating sex offenders. The bill passed in the House and Senate. If the criminal refuses they'll face additional non-compliance charges, but will get to remain intact.

Is this something to do with the Napoleonic Code?

What exactly are "non-compliance charges"? I mean if they get to keep their twig and berries in working order- what prevents them from becoming repeat offenders?
It's tantamount to moving a really fat person's fridge to the top of the stairs... Nothing is preventing them from getting to the food- it's just a little harder.

Hellraiser is about much more than Horror...it's hard to explain, but it's not just some serial killer/slasher movie(s).
It's like the movie poster used to say "Angel to Some; Demon to Others".
The point is they show up regardless once you open the box- it's whether or not you choose Repent (join) or Be Damned (Be Damned).

Oh, you don't have to tell me anything about squirrels.

My dad had a squirrel somehow get into his garage attic and chew wires and leave so much pine cones and needles that it caved the drywall in. It somehow got in between two pieces of siding (we think). Was about two full-sized pickup truck beds full of trash and debris and $5,000 in repairs. We did the work, that was just the materials cost.

Little fluffy-tailed rats is all they are. Kill 'em and toss the corpses in the trash, where they belong.
